Introduction:
17-4PH alloy is a precipitation of copper, niobium / columbium constituted hardening martensitic stainless steel. This level has high strength, degree (up to 300º C / 572º F) and anti-corrosion properties. After heat treatment, the mechanical properties of the product more perfect, can reach up to 1100-1300 mpa (160-190 ksi) of compressive strength. This level can not be used above 300º C (572º F) or under very low temperatures, its atmosphere and dilute acid or salt has good corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance and its 304 and 430 the same.

Machining:
Thermoforming
Hot forming should be carried out within a temperature range 950-1200ºC (1742-2192ºF). Complete heat treatment including solution annealing, cooling (less than 25ºC) and aging (at a given temperature).
Cutting:
Thermal cutting (plasma, saws, etc.): Taking into account the thermal metamorphism part, this level of cut program should be appropriate. After cutting, to be milled to remove the oxide layer. Mechanical cutting: cutting, stamping, cold saws.
